The Saskatchewan government announced last week that Phase 5, which includes "large gatherings" would now tentatively be set for June 2021. This news has brought a flash flood of anxious brides contacting me, not sure what to do, not sure what large gatherings means, wishing for more clarification. It is such a tough situation for all, but I want you to know that I am here for you, to photograph your day however it might play out.

In light of this, although an "elopement" style wedding, or smaller more intimate gathering may not be exactly what you had wanted or pictured, I thought I'd share a styled elopement from last year to inspire you. Your love is beautiful, valid, and deserves to be celebrated, no matter how that might happen. Elopements are a beautiful way to get married!

While I certainly am not saying large weddings aren't - I had a big wedding - consider an elopement if you are just ready to get married, and are sick of the uncertainty. You can always party later! Everyone will still be happy to celebrate with you when we can all gather safely again! My heart is with all of you, but your love is not cancelled!

If you do decided to say your forever vows now, here is a little inspiration for your day. You can make this day all about you two, and what you love doing together. Get ready together, or not. Start the day with a big waffle brunch, or cold pizza. Traipse around in one of the beautiful locations Saskatchewan has to offer (ask me for a list - I have lots of ideas!), or hang out in your backyard. The sky is the limit when it comes to what you do really. Make it a day to celebrate your love.

No matter what you decide, it will always be a special day to remember, and a good story to tell your great grandchildren about how you got married in the midst of a global pandemic!
