I've been reflecting a lot lately on what I love about this job. And to me it boils down to, having a great time with my clients and creating bomb images! Your session experience is, in my opinion just as important as the photos you receive afterwards. If you aren't enjoying your photo session, I can almost promise you won't enjoy the results of it. I do my very best to make your experience as enjoyable as possible!


The first step when booking a session requires you to complete a booking form. This not only allows me to get your permission to do the session (photo release), but I have a couple questions in there to give me a better idea of what type of vision you have for your photos!


Once we meet up - usually in the scenic Craik Valley - we get to know each other a bit better! The more comfortable you feel with me the better! I heavily focus on interaction between you and your partner, so it is super important for you to trust me. There is no way we are going to get genuine laughter or emotion out of you during your session if you are worried you might look silly or are super uncomfortable. I usually talk far too much, trip over my words (and feet - it is not uncommon for me to fall at some point during your session)! So you don't need to worry about looking silly; I've got that part covered!


A typical session with me also involves lots of movement. The "poses" are fluid. Movement helps you look more natural in a photos. It is unnatural for you to stand still for 60 minutes looking at the camera the entire time! The locations I photograph in require a little bit of walking. But the beautiful scenery is worth it! I promise we won't be doing any extreme physical exertion, because we still want you looking your best. I do also ask my clients to sit in tall grass, stand in the trees, and even more recently dip their toes into the creek! I hope you don't mind a little bit of nature, because it truly takes your photos from 0 to 60!
